Highlights Milan Design Week ‘23

Once again this year, Female Interior Creators Lasut & Braun set off for Salone del Mobile in Milan and captured all the highlights for Pure & Original. In these highlights, Feikje Lasut and Anne Braun take you on a design journey that includes the latest innovations, most inspiring presentations and absolute must-sees in Milan.

NILUFAR gallery

@dragaandaurel‘s cheerful creations take over Nilufar 25MQ. They present ‘Space Couture’, a bright and dazzling furniture and lighting collection with vibrant colours and reflective shine. The entire capsule collection almost transcends time with its fun and carefree atmosphere and glorifies a playfully casual way of life, symbolised by the premiere of the Sabot armchair.

BAXTER @Salone del mobile

To introduce their new collection, Baxter designed a space that unfolds in levels: several steps, a suspension bridge and multiple openings such as windows alternate eachar and allow the spaces to constantly change perspective.

On the stand of Baxter, an absolute international powerhouse, we see an orange and blue retro colour palette and Fresco-like walls upholstered podiums and high-pile carpets combined with hard floors.

DIMORE centrale

An absolute must-see during Milan with this time a new location and a 20th anniversary. Within the presentation ‘SILENCE’, sound, light and movement took centre stage with silver in the lead role and glossy walls. Five atmospheres were set, viewed through windows or peepholes. Dreamy time capsules enclosed in deliberately rough boxes, reminiscent of Irving Penn’s photo sets: five different interiors, five identities, five Dimore-style characters.

ARTEMEST

Artemest opened the doors of L’Appartamento, an elegant 1930s Milanese flat curated by six prestigious international interior design firms: @annesophie.pailleret, @roisinlaffertykld, @moniomidesign, @ninamagonstudio, @styledhabitat and @tzed_architects. Besides the fantastic interiors, the historic walls and ceilings combined with gold and bold colours were a true inspiration.

BENE_office “The Secret Garden”

Together with beautiful creative studio @visual_citizens and excellent paper flower artists @pompomfactory, as well as their own unique designers, Beneoffice created a unique art installation that activates all the senses. Ethereal, creative and sensual – “The Secret Garden”

CASSINA “Les Grands trans Parents”

The formal simplicity of Esosoft by Antonio Citterio moves into the bedroom with the Esosoft bed, defined by the same iconic aluminium exoskeleton as the sofa system. This whole setting is further enhanced by the lilac blue ceiling.
